This instruction is for all those who want to learn to play the harp independently, with or without prior musical knowledge, or who wish to try the instrument before going further. It is based on the method “Play the Harp with Charlie the Kitten”, adopted by many harp teachers in France and in many countries since 2003, for both children and adults.
The training consists of a sequence of courses to be followed at your own pace.
The goal is to learn the technical basics of the lever harp in a structured and very progressive way, with many short, easy-to-memorize songs and exercises, organized in 17 chapters of 92 videos for more than 115 songs and exercises.
Independent yes, but not alone …
As an option, a follow-up by a qualified teacher is recommended to check your position, correct any mistakes, answer your questions or simply encourage you in your learning and offer his perspective on your progress. This option includes a “package of 4 online lessons” with a teacher (in French or in English).
How does it work?

You sit at the harp with the book on the music stand and your tablet or computer next to you, with your headphones. You follow the instructions of the teacher who shows you the exercise. If necessary you can replay the video, you practice, and when you have mastered the exercise, you move on to the next piece. Don’t cut corners, take the time to learn every little bit, set a goal, for example two pages a week, and practice every day like the pros do!
